Talia Terror was our winning Gore Girl of our first competition at The International Horror and Sci-Fi Festival here in Chandler AZ. We chose two girls from not only their photo's and charisma but from their taste in films. Talia was our first place winner and also will appear as the 2009 model for next years film festival.
"One word to describe my life, BUSY. I work, play music, play kickball (GO BALLS!), and I’m a mom. My son and music make up the majority of my life.
I sing in a psycho-surf-blues band called the Beatnik Bombers and a pop punk band called Radio Drag. The Beatnik Bombers are my main focus and we play almost every weekend. Currently B.B. is recording an 8 track CD to be released in January.
I’m a huge fan of the horror genre and it can be seen in the lyrical content of songs like “Murder Art” by B.B. and “Die Anna” by Radio Drag. I’m fascinated with real life horrors. There’s nothing more real to me then the act of one person killing another.
I’m a delightfully particular person and I have an acquired taste for things that aren’t the norm. I love art, tattoos, paintings, photography, etc. I’m a total thrift store junkie and I like to work on pre -67 Volkswagens. I constantly seek out the next challenge in life and I welcome it with open arms."

ICSYB - First movie that scared the shit out of you?
Talia Terror - Honestly... The Blair Witch Project. My mom bought the movie and suggested I watch it while she was out one night. I was sitting alone on the couch, with 
all the lights off. About half way through it I start hearing noises outside. First tapping on the windows, and then scratching on the back door. I thought I was being paranoid. I ignored the noises and tried to focus on the movie. Things were all good until the climax of the movie (you know the part in the basement where they're standing in the corner) when I hear what sounds like someone crashing through my back yard along with a deafening amount of banging and scratching on all but the back door. I ran to the phone to call my parents and it was dead (without me knowing my mom had unplugged it). I decided to confront the noises and grabbed a baseball bat. I crept up to the back door and right when I was going to open it my mom and step brothers jumped out and scared the shit out of me. It was horrible.
ICSYB - Wow - you just made me feel old! If you could chose any celebrity you would like to see get massacred in a horror movie, who would you choose and why?
Talia Terror - Hannah Montana. To brutally murder the American ideal of pop stardom would make my world a better place.
ICSYB - Would you ever go camping at Crystal Lake?
Talia Terror - For sure but I'd be sure to remember all the proper camping equipment: chainsaw, machete, switch blade, rifle, flame thrower, you know the essentials.
ICSYB – What is your favorite death scene in a horror movie?
Talia Terror - My favorite scenes are ones I can't watch. The ones that make me go why the fuck am I willingly watching this. Very few movies do that for me but one in particular made me sick. I believe it was called Mortem (not positive). I shut it off when the "kidnappers" cut someone's man parts off and started raping a girl with it. That draws the line for me.
ICSYB - What are your top five horror movies of all time?
Talia Terror - 1. Silence of the Lambs- I'm big on psychological thrillers and this one just plain does it for me, especially when I'm standing naked in front of the mirror putting on lip stick.
2. Scream Trilogy- Who doesn't enjoy being chased around by a guy in a Halloween mask?
3. Dracula featuring Bella Lugosi- Everyone has a start of there horror movie magic and Bella Lugosi was mine. So much so that my son's middle name is Lugosi.
4. 13 Ghosts- I'm not genuinely afraid of anything except Ghosts. This wasn't a fantastic movie but it definitely secured my fear of Ghosts hunting me down and killing me.
5. Shaun of the Dead- I'm not sure if this counts as a horror movie but it's by far my favorite Zombie movie. Everyone to the Winchester!
ICSYB - Say you found the puzzle box from Hellraiser - what would you do with it?
Talia Terror - I'd wrap it up as a present and give it to my ex husband. Kidding… I would probably hide it and turn myself into the keeper of the puzzle box. I have this undying sense that the world needs to be protected from evil. If the karma-tic balance placed the box in my care, than it would be my personal duty to keep it from harming others.
ICSYB - If you woke up tomorrow to find that the dead had risen and you could only use one weapon to defend yourself, what would you use?
Talia Terror - Tough choice... my first instinct is to use a machine gun. Based on my observation of the reanimated corpse a bullet to the head is a sure way to stop the lower brain functions from working, causing the body useless to the virus.
ICSYB – Do you prefer the slow moving zombies of yesteryear or the quick fast paced zombies of today?
Talia Terror - I like my corpses slow and decaying, the more skin sloughing off the better. I also prefer my zombies to be interested in brains. I know they really care when they actually want to know what’s inside my head. I find the fast paced zombies unrealistic. They seem more like mutants then real zombies.
ICSYB – What about Aliens? Are you a believer?
Talia Terror - I’m a believer. The universe is way too fucking big to just have us little old homo-sapiens. I don’t think they actually abduct people though, just turn cows inside out.
ICSYB – Godzilla or King Kong – which one do you think is the real bad ass?
Talia Terror - Godzilla is much more of a bad ass. He took out the city without a second thought as to the repercussions. King Kong is a hopeless romantic and they don’t survive in the real world.
